It's All About Advanced Training in Construction
BEST is seeing a void in the Advanced Training sector of Building Science. "There are all kinds of basic training 101 programs available, says Jason Scheurer, CEO of BEST and Living Green Homes. What we need now is Advanced Training for our construction industry. If the certified students don't get to use their newly acquired skills in the field, then they will lose what they have learned- and probably forever."
BEST has set up technically advanced training programs that are tailored towards the Energy Auditor and Hands-On Installer, which includes Home Energy Upgrade Estimating Software. The classes will be held "ON-SITE" at the property, and will cover aspects of Business, Estimating, and Sales Training, tailored around the Energy Auditing Software.
"This new Advanced Training Program has the ability to solve a lot of doubts in the certification world," Jason says. "Since I have been using a version of the estimating software already, it was a no-brainer, I had no choice but to be on-board and help create the new version of software- Estimating Green 2.0, it is such a great idea."

BEST is setting up Advanced Training Classes for Green Construction Training, Air Sealing Techniques in Attics and Crawlspaces, Residential Building Envelope, Whole House Air Leakage Control, Installer, Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, Multi Family, Home Performance with ENERGY STAR, Blower Door Fan Testing, Duct Blaster Testing, Combustion Appliance Zones Testing, Building Airflow Standards and Formulas, Manometer Readings, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigerants, HVACR Tune-ups, and Smoke Testing. These advanced classes will be "On Site and Hands-On" in a residential home in the State of California, in the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura County areas.
